Oxhaven Properties history.
Oxhaven and Juniper Hill have been family-owned and managed since their development.
Early 1900s
Before there was an Oxhaven, there was a circus. Believe it or not, way back in the early 1900s, our property was the home of the Wheeler Circus. The barns housed the circus animals during the winter and the circus would open their season right here.
1964
In 1964, a former tin salesman, Louie Argyris, purchased the land and built our first building, “A” Building with money borrowed from family.
1970s
In the 1970’s Louie expanded from Oxford into Kennett purchasing the land on which Juniper Hill Apartments sit today from a flower company that had previously grown flowers in greenhouses on site.
Today
Oxhaven Properties are proudly family owned and managed since the first brick was put in place. Our manager, Pia McCann has managed the properties since 2016. She may look familiar to you because her mom, Trish, managed Oxhaven from the mid-1970s through the ‘90s.
